catch me if you can.

it's me again. It's been a while, but life's
been a little crazy this month as it always is
this time of year.
I'll catch you up on what's been going on,
so you don't feel too left out.

April 14-21:
I went on tour with the African Percussion and Dance Ensemble. It was very short notice as I found out I could go on the 13th, the the next day I was packing into a van and hitting the road. Our first stop was Geneva, Illinois which is about 30 miles from Chicago. We performed at a Math and Science Academy in Aurora, IL, we also did a dance workshop. We then went to Champaign Urbana, IL where we performed about 3 times and did a drumming workshop. From there we went to Lexington, Kentucky and performed at several places in the surrounding areas. Performing was a blast at every place we went to, but I was worn out when we got home and really behind in school. :/ It was worth it though because we had a lot of fun and were in constant laughter. There was five people from Ghana-Gideon, George, Muna, Comfort, and Pierret. The ladies are sweethearts and treated us as if we were their daughters. I loved getting to spend time with them and get to know them.
There was five students-me, hannah brosch, jonny, joel, and joe. We got along great together and some deep conversations with all of them. We (hannah&I) had the opportunity to talk to all the guys about what they believe and about the church.
Hannah and I became quite close. She is very similar to me in the way we think and the way we handle situations. We're honest with each other when one could be doing something different. It doesn't bother me either because it as if my conscience is talking out loud to me. She's coming home with me May 14 for about ten days. I remember when i first met her at village home group and she was sharing her testimony. I remember thinking to myself, "we could be best friends" and that's what we are becoming. She knows more about me than a lot of people do just from spending 7 days connecting to each others hip. Well we like to call ourselves sisters.

April 21- I found THE dress that I'm in love with. I did not even want to take it off. I could've stared in the mirror and stared at myself all day in it. Only problem it was too big. When I got in the car and headed back to denton I teared up. I started thinking about what I was going to look like on our day in that dress and I was just so overwhelmed because the dress is perfect. I still have to order it and it will take about 4 months to come in. Best part is, it is under $500.

April 24- I had the honor of seeing Melanie Prosperie and Ryan Guest become one in marriage. The wedding was absolutely beautiful. Melanie looked ravishing in her dress, it was perfect for her. I'm so happy for them (and a little jealous, but my time will be here soon enough). I know they are going to have a spirit filled relationship and family. They are definitely an example for other couples and if you have the honor of knowing them, consider yourself blessed. Kendall, my future husband, took Melanie's portraits and photographed he wedding. I must say, Kendall did and amazing job, I got the goosebumps looking at her bridals. I'm so proud of him. Oh, and I'm not just saying that because he is my fiance.

April 25- We performed at Jazz Fest and it was our BEST performance. There was probably 200+ people that watched and they really got into it. It was my favorite performance even though I ended up getting really dehydrated.

Well, that is about all that's been going on in my life.
hopefully I can update with a deeper blog
tomorrow or something, but for now I really need to be productive.
