Project 31- Day 2

Well, it is already day 3 and I'm behind already oops.
You see, I had plans to go to Jupiter House last night with my
friend Hannah and sip on some coffee while writing my post.

Yeah...that didn't happen.
I fell asleep at 7:30 on a saturday night!
who does that?
(I had been tired all day, I think i was having low iron issues)

So, I'll post my Day 2 post now, and post my Day 3 post a little later today.

Day 2-what makes me unique?

This is Hannah. This picture seemed fitting. :)

I always feel funny when trying to express to someone what makes me different. I guess that is one of the points of this project though, to embrace my uniqueness and realize we are all different but can still inspire and encourage each other.

I think my uniqueness comes from the way I was created. Speaking of being created. I love that I was created for Kendall and Kendall was created for me. Kendall was born a couple years before me, which means Father was thinking about me when he made Kendall. That makes my heart smile! I was uniquely created for Kendall.

It also comes from the people in my life. This applies to all people of my life. The ones that are still here and the ones that have gone.

All the seasons of my life have contributed to who I am today and formed that uniqueness about me. No two stories are the same. We all have a different story to tell. I see it in the blogs of each person I read, my friends, or others around me.

With that said, I think a list will be best:
:)

- I was engaged at 18 years old. I'm 19 right now, and I will be 20 when I get married. This came as a complete shock to me. I always had plans to graduate college and move to Africa for 5-10 years, then come back and find a husband. This goes to show how much God cares about the plans I make for myself.

-I started traveling overseas at the age of 13. I've been to (in order of travels) Mexico, Belize, Spain (3x), Peru (2x), Holland, and North Africa. I feel more comfortable overseas than I do at home. I always experience culture shock when I come back to the states, but don't think I ever have overseas.

- I'm learning Arabic. I can currently read and write it, speaking gets a little harder but I can do it if forced. It has gotten me free gyros at a local greek restaurant. :)

- I love me some coffee. I worked as a barista my senior year.

-I am in a West African dance group. It is where I met my soulsister Hannah! :)

- I'm 5'2 and play goal keeper in soccer.

- I like to be creative and crafty. I just wish I had more time to do so.

err...and I'll save some more about myself and my uniqueness so you can get to know me better through out this project. :)

Note: please bare with me as I work on changing up the blog design. still figuring out how all this works!
