I've come to terms with the fact that I'm already behind on the project. ;)
Day 3- Who is someone you know who inspires beauty?
This family right here inspires beauty to me. Honestly, I can't say enough about this family and I do not think they would want me to praise them like I want to and that's why they inspire beauty to me. I want to give all the glory to God for this family. This family lives in the jungle city of Peru. They serve the Lord there full-time. They've given up every "American Dream" to love on people and share the gospel with them. I've had the opportunity to serve alongside this family in Peru in 2008 and 2009, both trips changed my life in ways I would never be able to express.
More importantly, I want to talk about Jenn. I look up to her so much. She is such a beautiful woman, inside and out (I hope you know that Jenn!) I wish she didn't live thousands of miles away--I'd probably be at her house everyday if we lived close. I just want to sit at her feet and learn from her. The few times I have been around her I have learned so much just by watching her interact with her children and the people around her. Jenn's love for people just radiates off her. As if living in Peru isn't enough, she takes care of three children of her own (she's pregnant in this picture:)) and I'm sure she has many honorary children. She continually houses groups from the states that come to help through out the year. She has some of the BEST home cooked meals I've ever had made with ingredients from the market. I know working continually in the jungle away from friends and family gets hard. I honestly can't even comprehend what that must be like. Not to mention they just opened up an international bible school in Peru! Kendall and I will be traveling to Peru this summer to help out alongside this family, but that is a different post for a different day.
So Jenn if you are reading this I want you to know how much this girl in the States loves you and thinks you are beautiful. I pray for you daily and I praise the Lord for you and your family You're one of those Phil 1:3 people for me. I pray that you won't grow weary, but the Lord will raise you up on eagle's wings and HE will give you strength. The work you are doing for the kingdom is bringing Father glory and I love watching how Father uses your family. I've only known you for a few short years but it feels much longer than that. I cannot wait to serve alongside you. I just want to say thank you for inspiring beauty and thank you for going to the ends of the earth.
**I'm sure anyone that has met jenn will agree with me!
This is a status Jenn posted the other day:
"Please keep us in your prayers, there has been a terrible outbreak of Dengue fever here where we are in the Amazon. It is reaching plague proportions, the hospitals have set up tents outside bc they are all full up. Lots of people have already died. Please pray for protection for our family and for all those here. Thank you for standing in the gap!"
I ask that when you read this you say a little prayer for the Bostic family. Thanks. :)
