Hey SoulSister!

This past weekend started on a Wednesday with a very spontaneous trip to Denton, a 6 hour trip but it was SO worth it. I left at 8 p.m. and arrived around 2:30 in the morning with lots of caffeine and road trip food. :) I had some wonderful friends that chatted it up with me on the drive.

Day
I posted this photo to instagram on thursday morning with a caption ending with "i feel the start of something new in the air." I definitely knew what was going to happen that night
and I could not wait for it!

So, now to the reason of a spontaneous 6 hour trip...

My soul sister and best friend, HANNAH is now ENGAGED to her soul mate KIP! I could not be more excited for these two! These two couldn't be more perfect for each other. I cannot wait to see what the Lord does through their marriage. I guess this makes kip my future soulbro. ;)
I am sure the wedding will be happening sooner than later.
After Kip proposed he text me to come to Hannah's apartment. I knocked on the door and I surprised her (she had no idea either was happening!). It was such a precious moment to me and I am so happy I got to be a part of the excitement.

Aren't they just the cutest? They are both so in love with the Lord and they both glow
with love for each other.

The proposal happened around 11 p.m. and I had to leave the next morning at 6 a.m. to drive back a loooong six hours. So, we just decided not to sleep. Hannah and I hit up IHOP at around 4 a.m. and
had a celebration breakfast together. I would have to say it was one of my favorite times together and we have definitely shared many.

Engaged

confession: We weren't planning on going to IHOP, we were planning to make the drive thru at taco bell (like old times), but they were closed. It was about 38 degrees outside and we weren't wearing shoes...

Unfortunately, my time was short and I hit the road early enough to catch the sunrise over the Dallas skyline.

Drive
These are my tired eyes...I ended up not sleeping for about 40 hours.

On Saturday, our house finally began to feel like home.
My wonderful mom came and helped get everything organized and rearranged.

Bookshelf

our "travel bookcase". it holds many treasures from around the world, vintage national geographics, and LIFE books.

Kendall and I actually had a night to chill and watch movies!

Food

We also had delicious chinese take-out for dinner.

And to finish the weekend off, I had my last soccer game.

Bb

These guys are my biggest fans and came to every game. I love them so much!

How was your weekend? Anything exciting happen or someone you know get engaged? :)

  3. I have definitely done that kind of road trip before! It stinks that friends live so far away, but it makes it super sweet when you do get to see them!

    I LOVE your travel bookcase!
