Tour de Tejas || Part One

Wow. These past few weeks have been crazy (hence why I never finished my last little series...it will be continued though). Since the beginning of May we have moved out of our house, quit our jobs, and have been traveling all over the Lone Star State.

Our trip began May 10th with my whole family + sister's boyfriend Brandon heading to the beautiful Wimberley, TX to celebrate my birthday and my moms 50th birthday.

No TX road trip is complete without a stop at Buc-cee's.

We arrived late Friday night with no ability to see our surroundings so come 6:15 when the sun flooded our loft cabin, I woke up to an excited husband who had no idea what awaited him.

" goooood morning Breesey! Happy birthday! Look at this view! Wake up! You want coffee??? I will go make some. Oh my gosh! Lets go hiking!!!!!"

He finally got me up about 7:15. We hiked up to the overlook and enjoyed our coffee and the amazing view.

I watched my husband's passion for photography come alive again...it's been a while since I have seen a camera in his hands.

After our hike, I enjoyed a wonderful birthday brunch

Birthday brunch was followed by more hiking at the beautiful Jacob's Well.

We then went and did some shopping at the outlet mall in San Marcus so I could see my best childhood friend Nika who works at J. Crew.

Gruene was the next town on the list and that's where we had dinner at the delicious Gristmill Restauraunt.

Gruene Dance Hall

We waited to be seated for an hour and half but the live music and eclectic town square made for an enjoyable wait.

Needless to say, it was a perfect birthday. I don't know about you, but I'm definitely feeling 22. :)

Part II coming soon...
