Declare Jesus

I found myself amongst a group of 16 youth from Georgia & the AX staff in the middle of the Amazon Jungle that will one day be the home of our training center.

We shared a devotional that morning that asked us what we declare over our lives, so I spent the rest of the day wondering what exactly I declare over my life. I thought of it more as my mission statement for our time here in the Amazon and what I wanted to declare over "the property" but still wondering how exactly I got here in the first place. I am so honored, humbled, and privileged that the Lord has me here.

I knew that most importantly, I wanted to declare the name of Jesus over the land, over the tribes, over the people of the Amazon and we did just that. All 20 of us stood at one corner of the property and screamed the name "JESUS!!!!" over the property, 3 times. I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes as the echoes were carried back through the trees. I don't think I'll ever forget that moment especially when I know in the near future native students will be taking the name Jesus further and deeper into the jungle then we could ever go.

Later that night, we were all huddled underneath the porch of the little hut we have on the property under the most beautiful night sky I have ever seen. One by one I listened to young people share their hearts and desires and love for the Lord. Then, it was my turn and out of my mouth came words that were unexpected:

"I declare that in the next five years, every tongue tribe and nation of the Amazon will hear the name of Jesus. (okay, that was pretty expected but the next sentence wasn't). And I declare that I will be a mother to the nations." (um...what?)

I have no idea what that means, but I realized more than ever that it is something my heart desires more each day, but that will happen in God's perfect timing and only in the way He has in mind.

HUGE things are in store for this property, I only wish you could see what is in store for this school. It is going to be unbelievable and life changing for so many people. I ask that you continue to pray with us, we need it!

Declarations need to spoken.
Our words hold the power of life or bring death.
There is power in the name of Jesus.
What do you declare over your life, your family, your future, your ministry?
