Chao Mis Amigos!

Well, my friends, we are off on an adventure. We will be out in the jungle for the next 10 days. We are going to be working on installing a bathroom at our property (woop! no more having to use the "latrine" fancy word for a whole in the ground.). Please be praying for safe travels on the river and that we are able to work efficiently to get the job done.
We are still in need of funds for our project, if you would like to donate visit and donate through paypal or email me and I can give you more information.

In other news, we had some traveling missionaries from Manaus, Jossi & Jewel come visit us while they are doing some ministry here. Their visit has really lifted my spirits and reminded me just why I am here. I was definitely in need of the encouragement, due to few rough days this past month. Oh, how I have a renewed spirit! Thank you, Jesus.
It was especially nice having some girl time since I live in a house with my husband and four other guys. Come on girls, I know one of you wants to come serve in the Amazon! Don't I look so comfy in my hammock, you know you want to live in a culture with scheduled naps, aka, siestas. ;)
The latins may not be on time to anything else, but they are always on time for siesta and I can live with that.

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. " Matthew 6:33-34

I wanted to plan some scheduled posts, but time got away from me. I look forward to updating you when we return though. Know this, God is good and He is ever faithful. I am continually humbled that He has me here but no matter where I am. I want to seek firstly, the Kingdom of God. He knows what I need before I even ask. Gosh, I've been loving the book of Matthew lately.

We will come home just long enough to wash clothes, repack, and buy our boat tickets to go visit our dear friends  family in Iquitos, Peru for all of October. To say I'm excited, is an understatement. And in exactly two months our feet hit american soil for the holidays!

Chao mis amigos!

  1. Love you girl! I'm thinking of you and praying for you guys!!

  2. Hurray for building a bathroom! Those are so nice to have. :) Good job keeping on doing the good work!

  3. Yay for bathrooms! And going to Peru! Seems like an amazing time. And about those funds, What is money to God anyways? He will stir the hearts to give ;)
